Uncle Gee is a local Yuin man born in Batemans Bay and has lived in the Illawarra for the past 50+ year with his wife Aunty Pearl and 3 children. Uncle Gee has been the chair of the IKMSG for the past 20 years and has dedicated his retirement to supporting the local community and young Aboriginal men to become better leaders, fathers, Uncles, brothers, partners, and sons within the community.

Wiradjuri man and has strong kinship to Dharawal from Molong and lived in Illawarra for 65yrs. Didn’t grow up knowing much of culture identity but wanting to learn more about my Aboriginal Identity and I have learn lots through spending time with other Elders within the Men’s Group. I work in mining industry was young, and then commenced work in Kemblawarra public schools as a Aboriginal Teachers Aid for 15 years. Retired 2022 and supporting community through supporting the IKMSG on the Board member.

I’m a proud Wiradjuri man. I commenced my working life as a general hand in a trucking factory and then worked as a ceiling fixer for the next 25 years. I have 3 beautiful daughters and 3 grandchildren. I was married for 25 years. I loved to play tenpin bowling and indoor cricket in my spare time.
