Work and Development Orders (WDOs)

Gawura Aboriginal Corporation is a registered sponsor for Work and Development Orders. WDOs have been created as a partnership between Revenue NSW, Legal Aid NSW and the Department of Communities and Justice to assist people who cannot pay their fines. Community Service Orders (CSOs)

We are an accredited supervising agency for community service orders through Community Corrections. When a person gets an order from a court to complete several community service hours, they are placed on a Community Service Order. Their local Community Corrections Officer supervises them. Their supervising officer will then delegate which agency or service they will complete their hours with, which can now be at Gawura.
We offer services such as Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremonies, Barbeque services, Bus hire, consultations and more.
For “Welcome to Country” or “Smoking Ceremony” requests, please complete the booking form below and submit it right away!
For “Bus Hire”, please fill out our Bus Hire Enquiry Form with all the required information and submit it online. We will contact you as soon as possible!
